Course in Firearms safety, 30195 QLD (approved for firearms licensing in Queensland)
This course is an accredited training course titled 30195 QLD - Course in Firearm Safety (approved for firearm's licensing in Queensland) and provides participants with relevant and comprehensive training for anyone who wishes to possess a firearm lawfully in Queensland.

To apply for a firearms license in Queensland this firearms safety training course must be first completed. Most of this training is in the class room learning about legislative provisions within the Queensland Firearms Act concerning firearms and their use, the social responsibilities associated with the use of firearms; and general firearms safety procedures. There is a written exam related to each particular category of firearm covering your knowledge and understanding of firearms terminology, basic firearm functions, firearms safety issues and procedures and the responsible use of each category of firearm.

This is followed by a practical assessment (actual shooting) specific to each category of firearm assessing the trainee's performance in both live and dry fire situations. The course usually takes 8 to 9 hours.
