    Return Policy

    RETURNS?

    Please contact us FIRST before returning any item which you have purchased from us.

    Please understand there are some items which we cannot accept a return or exchange for. Especially if you changed your mind after using it or you now require something else  instead. This particularly applies to things like (but not limited to) reloading dies and resizing bushings, bore guides and scope rings.  This also includes Berger and Warner Bullets as the batch numbers may not line up with current stock batch numbers etc. Basically "the Pub Test" is this: Any returned items we need in brand new (completely unused) condition and original packaging so it can be sold as a new item again.
    Any items which have in any way been used or are not in original packaging and opened will not be accepted for returns.
    Remember, if we accept a return we need it in brand new condition for resale essentially.

    We also may need to charge a restocking fee when we agree to accept a return item (after we have inspected it) because it takes quite some time to re establish it into the system and inventory again (it's automatic out, but all manual back in).
    No returns after 30 days.

    If you believe you have a faulty product by all means please contact us immediately as we would like to attend to your concerns about that as soon as possible.

    REFUNDS and CANCELLATIONS of online orders?
    Please contact us immediately on the email contacts below if you wish to cancel an order or need a refund relating to an order or add something:

    Email: brt@benchrest.com.au   or    brtshooterssupply@gmail.com

    Shipping terms
    Within Australia
    The $10  Flate rate standard shipping charge is applied at CHECKOUT.
    We are now charging a simple $10 rate for freight. All parcels

    We use both Australia Post eParcel service which is registered mail (parcel has to be signed for) or general Couriers via a company called Smart-Send which access Toll, TNT, Fastway, Startrack and Couriers Please. Please note Couriers usually do not require a signature and tend to leave items if the location is unattended.
    $10 flat rate postage deal applies to mainland Australia and Tasmania only and is for online orders processed by clients on this website only.
    Phone and/or email orders will incur full costs of freight because it simply costs us more than this for us to conduct those orders.
    The method or arrangement of freight, including combining parcels or not combining is at the prerogative of BRT.

    Request for Express bag or Express parcel can be made and the additional costs of those services will apply.

    Delivery to PO Boxes can only be done by using Australia Post. Please be aware that Australia Post offers only LIMITED tracking and sometimes longer delays for delivery. They will only enact a "lost parcel search" after 3 business days has expired from the anticipated delivery time. We are sorry to say their service is getting worse in some areas. We cannot control this but we can offer more options like Couriers. Please indicate in the NOTES area at the end of CHECKOUT if you wish us to send your parcel via courier.
    Maximum weight per parcel is 20kg.
    Parcels measuring longer than 1050mm eg some cleaning rods etc, can only be sent by a courier service.  An order which contains long, oversize or heavy items may need to be sent as two parcels . This will be slightly more expensive.
    Customers are encouraged to contact us first if they are concerned about cost and the freight options for their parcel and location.

    Within mainland Australia and Tasmania - $10 flat rate

    The "flat rate shipping" cost applies for Australian mainland (and Tasmania) for Standard Shipping of orders in parcels under 20kg only. Some items are exempt and will need to incur additional shipping charges. These items will include but not restricted to long items which exceed the Australia Post maximum length. Also large awkward, heavy items as listed. Each item which will require additional shipping costs is clearly identified on the website in shipping terms and also prior to CHECKOUT. Customers are encouraged to contact us first if they wish us to determine if any additional shipping charges will or may apply to an order or any items and we will calculate a quotation for these based on the information you give us (eg, your address)
    Shipping of orders will be by Australian Post e-parcel service. This is a registered mail service and signature will be required on collection.

    Insurance is extra and at the clients option and is included and shown at CHECKOUT below all the items being purchased. The Insurance is at your choice and can be removed by clicking the delete "x" button to the right of "Insurance."
    Shipping times are estimates and vary depending on shipping options, standard delivery time can be up to 28 days in some circumstances.

    Additional freight charges, Please be aware that the $10 flat rate cost applies to one parcel. If more than one parcel is required to pack an order then an additional charge of up to $10 parcel could be required. If a second parcel (or more) are required and if additional charge would be necessary we will be in touch to discuss.

    Insurance is added automatically at the bottom of listed products. It is recommended but it is at your option. If you wish to remove the  insurance you can do so by using the red "X" symbol on the right hand side of the "Insurance" item to delete it.

    Dangerous Goods cannot be transported within Australia and is for local pick up only. This would include aerosol products.

    Shipping of items over 20kgs will be quoted by contacting you by either phone or email after an order is placed but before it is processed. This will mean two or more individual parcels.

    Customer order pickup is not possible. We apologise in advance but we are a mail order business and not a retail shopfront and due to our location it is not possible.

    Currency.

    All prices shown and transactions will be in Australian dollars $ (AUD)

    International Orders

    We can certainly can do sales to our International customers. Please contact us by email or phone to arrange this as we will need to do a manual invoice and individually calculate freight charges for you. Also we can remove our local tax if we export out of Australia. You cannot use the automatic CHECKOUT via our website due to this.

    It is important to note that we cannot export some items.
    Due to a variety of regulations controlling International Orders and Export licensing, BRT Shooters Supply are not able to process all orders for International customers. Please contact us for more information.

    The Australian Customs Service requires a export permit from the Defence Export Control Office for all orders which contains "controlled goods" and this includes telescopic sights, and gun parts (rifles, actions, triggers, trigger guard assemblies, barrels, stocks, firing pins, firing pin springs, buttplates, etc.) shipping from Australia.
    As a matter of our business we DO NOT SELL any items which require the purchaser to have a firearms shooters licence. We do not sell powder or primers which fall under different groups of Australian State legislation. BRT does not sell firearms or gun parts for which a firearms or dealers licence is needed in Australia. We cannot export Brass or Berger Bullets outside Australia.
    Please note any items listed as Dangerous Goods will not be shipped outside Australia.

    BRT Shooters Supply are a World Wide dealer for DEON Optical in Japan (March scopes). Our area of responsibility includes Australia, New Zealand, Pacific islands, Asia, Africa and Middle East. We have appointed dealers in many of these locations.For those few items like rifle telescopes we must apply for and receive these export permits through from the Australian Defence Export Control Office. This takes approximately 3 weeks for approval.
    BRT will submit your request for an export permit for March Rifle scopes and forward the requested items to you by either Australian Post or by International Courier.

    We must have an original or certified copy of your import permit along with an English translation of the permit and your signed order for approval. If your country does not require an Import Permit to bring these items into your country, please submit a letter stating this on your own letterhead and it must be signed by you. Your order must include your name, address, shipping address (if different) along with the description and cost of the permit items. These documents are to be sent through the mail as the Defence Export Control Office will not accept faxed or e-mailed documents.

    Due to the paperwork and labor involved with applying for the export permits, a fee of $50.00 AU may be applied to each order to cover these costs.

    Please contact us by e-mail for our overseas rates for postage.

    The above export fee is only for those items that require a permit to ship and not the items that do not require a permit to ship.

    • where permitted by law (e.g. the reporting of suspected breach of the criminal law to a law enforcement agency; and in an emergency, where BRT Shooters Supply believes on reasonable grounds that the disclosure of YourData will materially assist in the protection of the life of health of some person), provided that BRT Shooters Supply will apply due diligence to ensure that the exercise of the permission is justifiable.

    In all cases, BRT Shooters Supply undertakes to disclose only such of Your Data as is necessary in the particular circumstances.

    Data Retention and Destruction

    Subject to the qualifications immediately below, BRT Shooters Supply undertakes:

    • to retain Your Data only as long as is consistent with its purpose; and
    • to destroy Your Data when its purpose has expired, and to do so in such a manner that Your Data is not subsequently capable of being recovered.

    This undertaking is qualified as follows:

    • Your Data may be retained in BRT Shooters Supply's logs, backups and audit trails within short-term retention cycles that are devised to protect the company's operations. In such cases, Your Data will be destroyed in accordance with those cycles;
    • Your Data may be retained beyond the expiry of its purpose if that is required by law, such as a provision of a statute, or a court order such as a search warrant or sub poena, or a warning by a law enforcement agency that delivery of a court order is imminent. In these circumstances, BRT Shooters Supply:
      • will take any reasonable steps available to it to communicate to You that Your Data is being retained, unless it is precluded from doing so by law; and
      • will only retain Your Data while that provision is current, and will then destroy Your Data;
    • Your Data may be retained beyond the expiry of its purpose if it is authorised by law (in particular to protect BRT Shooters Supply's interests, e.g. if it believes on reasonable grounds that You have failed to fulfil your undertakings to BRT Shooters Supply or have committed a breach of the criminal law). In these circumstances, BRT Shooters Supply will only retain Your Data while that situation is current, and will then destroy Your Data.

    • conveniently;
    • without unreasonable delay; and
    • without cost.

    BRT Shooters Supply undertakes to establish and operate identity authentication protections for access to Your Data that are appropriate to its sensitivity, but practical. This may involve some inconvenience; for example, relatively straightforward procedures may be involved in order to provide you with access through a channel that you have previously registered with BRT Shooters Supply (such as a particular email-address), but may impose more onerous procedures if you wish to use some other channel.

    In the event that you dispute some aspect of Your Data, BRT Shooters Supply undertakes to take reasonable steps in relation to the amendment, supplementation or deletion of Your Data.

    You undertake:

    • not to seek access for frivolous purposes, or unreasonably frequently;

    • to accept that the disclosure of excessive detail may harm the security of Your Data and BRT Shooters Supply's business processes, and may harm BRT Shooters Supply's commercial interests.

    Handling of Enquiries, General Concerns and Complaints

    If you have enquiries, general concerns, or complaints about these Terms, or about BRT Shooters Supply's behaviour in relation to these Terms, you undertake:

    • to communicate them in the first instance:

    You further undertake to not pursue BRT Shooters Supply through any Regulator or the media:

    • until and unless BRT Shooters Supply has had a reasonable opportunity to respond to the initial communication; and
